Happy Mudders Day!

Stephen had to work today so we celebrated Mother's Day a little early.  Yesterday, we had a family adventure at the mall.  First stop was picking out a mothers day gift.  Lily Kate helped me pick out some new shoes- she pulled out about 15 different pairs for me to try.  Her favorites were wedge heels and peak toes. I did find a really cute pair of sandals:

We had to make a stop at the Disney Store and I am afraid that our days of "just looking" are over.  LK now asks if we can get this or that.

We decided to get some frozen yogurt at the food court.  Stephen and I were enjoying our yogurt and chatting, when we looked down and LK had taken her shirt off.  She was standing there topless because she was "hot!"  As we laughed, we quickly got her shirt back on her.
Aubrey loved her first taste of frozen yogurt- but wasn't happy that I took her picture :)
Say what?
Stephen's parents met us for dinner (and it seemed like everyone in Charlotte had the same idea) Thankfully we went to Harpers (and they didn't have a wait time).  The food and fellowship was awesome, but I must post about the novel idea that they have (and I'm going to steal).  PB&J Sushi.  That's right- they flattened texas toast, spread peanut butter and jelly on it and rolled it and sliced it like sushi- and the kicker- LK ATE IT!  They had a raspberry yogurt dipping sauce for it (and of course she had to have a side of macaroni & cheese).  She was so excited about it, I couldn't snap the picture before she dove in!
Definitely going to make this at home!
Today (Actual Mother's Day) Consisted of:
Cuddle with my favorite 3 year old before church.
Amazing service on Biblical Womanhood at Parkwood
Lunch from Sake Express at the Frows - Scrumptious!
Naps all around- Ahh!
Ice Cream for dinner at Dairy Queen- A special treat!
Life As We Know It- a total chick-flick! (Stephen was glad he missed it)
Only thing missing: My Man- he had to work a 30 hour shift!

I am so blessed to have such an amazing family.  My husband, and two beautiful daughters made me feel extremely loved this weekend.   I am truly blessed to be a mother!  I am also incredibly thankful for the mothers in my life- my mom, mother-in-law and grandmother.  What an amazing example of Biblical womanhood they each have lived out for me.  I'm so thankful God made me a woman.
