I always make an effort to get the girls to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. But like typical kids, they don't always comply. Tonight, along with our dinner I decided to get creative. I turned the usual side of carrot sticks and apples into a smoothie. And guess what, they both drank it right up.
Here's the simple recipe in case you would like to give it a try:
INGREDIENTS:
2 ripe bananas, peeled
2 carrots, peeled and trimmed
2 apples, cored
1 (8 ounce) container plain yogurt
1/2 cup orange juice
8 cubes ice

Blend the bananas, carrots, apples, yogurt, orange juice, and ice cubes in a blender until smooth.

I love that idea! And it could even pass as a "milkshake" for dessert (minus the milk)! And LK is such a pretty girl. : )
