Before Stephen had to head back to work, we decided to do a family get away to Lake Lure. It was our first time there and we really enjoyed the family friendliness of the resort and the quietness of the townhome we rented (
VRBO is great!) We loved that it was just 1.5 hours from Charlotte, but we were able to escape the cares of our everyday life :)
Rumbling Bald Resort had a great pool. The girls LOVED it!
