Extreme Makeover Renfrow Edition

We did a little redecorating this weekend (really just decorating since we hadn't really done much with our bedroom since we moved in). It is still a work in progress, but I'm amazed at what some curtains and a new bedspread can do for a room!

The Hazards of a Lollipop

Never a dull moment in the Renfrow household, I took Lily Kate to the doctor today since she hasn't been feeling great for the past two weeks. She has an ear infection :( It is great to finally know what is going on. We stopped by the pharmacy on our way home to pick up her prescription and I let her eat the lollipop we got from the doctors office while we waited. She bit the lollipop and it split just right that it cut her gums. She was drooling/bleeding/crying as I tried to figure out what happened and get her cleaned up. Needless to say I think the pharmacy filled our prescription faster than usual and Lily Kate was ready to change her shirt as soon as possible. I took a picture of her battle scars...the shirt was pristine and white when we arrived...I'm not sure it will ever be the same.
She's standing on the steps after she shut the baby gate (I didn't lock her up...I promise!)

We're having another girl!

On February 3rd, I had my 18 week ultrasound and we found out we are having another little girl. Here are a few of the pictures of our precious little one:
Face Profile
She had her hand right next to her mouth.
All of her organs looked healthy and she seems to be developing right on track!
"For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother's womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..."

Simple Things

Happy Valentine's Day! We had a wonderful and lazy day. We have been rather crafty this week. Here are some of our projects:
The Valentines we made for Lily Kate to exchange this year (idea from Family Fun Magazine)

Lily Kate made this heart bouquet for Daddy...who says men shouldn't get flowers?
The funniest part of my Valentine gift from Stephen...I loved the infomercial. Can't wait to use them! - Note: only put them on an open can, they may get stuck on an unopened one. I learned this the hard way.
Our silly little girl in her new pjs. Thanks, JaJa & Pa!

I'm loving the winter Olympics and Amazing Race was pretty stinking hilarious tonight! A perfect ending to a wonderful day!

The Real Deal

Last night at about 5pm it started to snow and it didn't quit until after we went to bed! We woke up to the most beautiful sight. All of our trees were covered, I love fresh unblemished snow. It was so peaceful and quiet- it was majestic! It was a neat reminder that God can "
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Psalm 51:7

After breakfast, Lily Kate and I went to play.
She made her first snow angel and we tried to make a snowman, but the snow wasn't a good consistency.
This afternoon we went out again and the snow was perfect for building- so we made a snow dog (Lily Kate's choice). The neighbor girls came to help and brought a carrot nose and some pecans for eyes. We now have a Reese made of snow in our front yard!

You know you are potty training when...

Your husband walks out of the bathroom and your little one says "Daddy pee peed in potty! Way to go, Daddy!" and claps!

First Time for Everything

We got a Mac this summer and today was the first time I have used iMovie. I know, I know. Anyways, I was surprised at how user friendly it was. Here is my first movie:
Young Einstein or at least young Ben Stein. :)

Super Bowl Sunday

Since Stephen was post call on Saturday, it was so nice to be a family on Sunday. We went to church and then had a relaxing Sunday afternoon. His parents stopped by to watch the first half of the game with us. (Since Stephen has to be at work at 5:30AM, we watched the second half from the comfort of our bed).
Lily Kate was the life of the party keeping us all entertained!
