I bees!

Aubrey's 2nd Birthday party was yesterday!  We had an ice cream (or i bees as she calls it) theme!

My Mother-in-law made the cakes- I can't get over how adorable they are!  I saw the idea on Pinterest and she did an amazing job- it looks just like the pin!

Out of the Mouths of Babes

Aubrey: Are We, Mommy?

This is her constant question when we go anywhere,  she wants to know "Where are we?"

She also regularly takes roll call for all of our family members and friends.  "Daddy go?"  "Pa go?" "Jjaja go?"  "Honey go?"  "Jenna go?"  "Matt and Mewamie go?"  it goes on and on :)

Tea for Two!

Today was "Princess Par-tea" day camp at church.  The girls were invited to a tea and asked to come dressed like a princess.  Lily Kate chose to be an African Princess.  The dress was brought to her by Aunt Shivani in Ethiopia.
Lily Kate wanted the shawl as a headdress, so we pinned it on.
When we dropped her off, Aubrey didn't want to miss out on the fun- she wanted to go to camp too.  Next year, she will be old enough!

She made a teapot & a tiara, decorated a placemat & teacup and designed a bracelet.  She ate gum drops and vanilla wafers and drank pink lemonade from teacups.  They danced and played games, she had a fabulous time!

To Infinity and Beyond

Our house is filled with everything purple and pink, baby dolls and princesses.  But we do have a love for Toy Story too :)  Lily Kate picked out her pajamas first and Aubrey wanted to match.

NOT happy I wanted to take their picture together.
 Lily Kate snapped a few:

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

We took the girls to the Knights game on Saturday night- Stephen got some tickets from work and there was a fireworks show afterwards, so we decided to take a family adventure.  As we left our house at 6:45 (with Aubrey's bedtime being 6:30) I had to wonder if we were a little crazy.

Looking at her program "book" to find Homer

She was happy with her book and list (ticket)
In the 5th inning, I took the girls to the playground for a while.  They both loved the big slide and we had to ride the carousel (Aubrey calls it "Up and Down")
Aubrey chose a bunny, Lily Kate a monkey

Next up, SNACKTIME!  Lily Kate chose cotton candy as their snack (they even had purple)!

Aubrey's favorite part of the night was Homer (the dragon mascot)!
At 10 o'clock, I was starting to think that this was a crazy idea, but there was just one inning left- until the Knights tied the game, meaning extra innings (or as Stephen calls it: Free baseball).

Aubrey when she learned there were fireworks but no castle!
Aubrey's opinion of extra innings
The Knight's won in the 11th inning! and then we got to enjoy fireworks!
Aubrey and I watched them from the van- she was done.  I can't believe we kept the girls out until 11:30, but it was a fun memory!  Yay Fireworks!
