Date Night

Last Saturday night Stephen's parents watched the girls and we had a date night.  We went Uptown to a great tapas restaurant, Dandelion Market, and then went to the Bobcats game.  It they had held on to their lead it would have been a perfect evening...but we still had a great time together.

Our Blessings

Lily Kate and I were feeling a little crafty yesterday, I had seen this idea in my MOPS magazine so we made a Blessings Tree.
Lily Kate helped me think of all kinds of things we are thankful for...it was really fun.
Lily Kate loved searching the yard for the perfect branches for our tree.  She then helped me paint some construction paper with different fall colors.  While she napped I cut the paper into leaf shapes.

We Are the Champions!

In medical school several of Stephen's classmates started a Fantasy Football league.  This is the 7th year that the same guys have been playing.  Stephen had a great year last year and he won the league!
We got a surprise package in the mail this week...his trophy!  He gets to keep it for the season and then get it engraved and ship it off to this years winner!

Not Just for Babies

There is never a dull moment in our home.  Lily Kate felt creative today:
"My name is Bumbo Seat Head!"

All Star Weekend

This weekend we got a real treat.  Jared and Julie James came to visit us!  Jared went to Campbell with us and is one of Stephen's best friends.  It was so great to see them again!
Julie, Jared and Tracie at Brixx
Saturday night, the boys had tickets to the Bobcats game so we all went Uptown to get some dinner.  While the boys had male bonding time, Julie and I enjoyed Letters to Juliet (definitely a chick flick).

After church on Sunday, we went to see the Panthers play. (It was a belated birthday gift to Jared from Julie-he had never been to a professional football game).  We had great seats, we just wish the Panthers had a better outcome.

Sharing

While I was cooking dinner the other night, I asked Lily Kate to please get Aubrey a toy.  She got all the baby toys for her.

Not sure what to do with it all!

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Monday night, the Charlotte Chick-fil-A's hosted Daddy/Daughter Date Night.  Lily Kate joined her daddy for dinner at her favorite restaurant.  The staff really made the evening special.  They greeted each daughter and gave her a rose, they served the "couples" at their tables, they had live music, and even gave everyone complimentary dessert (you know Lily Kate chose ice cream!)

Happy Halloween

Gus Gus and Cinderella at the Trunk or Treat on Saturday night

Aubrey was such a good sport in her mouse costume!

Lily Kate quickly got the hang of trick or treating.  She was fearless (all about the candy!)

Cinderella and Gus Gus on Halloween

Lily Kate has been talking for weeks about Trick or Treating with Pa

They hit a few houses and then sat on the front porch to hand out candy
