Good to the Last Drop

Our child has the biggest sweet tooth. We decided to go out for icecream tonight and she didn't want to miss a single drop :)

Some VIPs

Stephen, his dad and a couple of our friends from church attended Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs last night. It was an unfortunate ending to the Bobcats' first ever playoff appearance. They got some amazing seats and were able to meet some VIPs. Lily Kate was super thrilled to see that her dad met:
When she saw this picture she said "Rufus hold Lily Kate?" She is so jealous right now :)
She calls Ronald "E-I-E-I-O" because of Old MacDonald. Haven't been able to convince her that "E-I-E-I-O" is not his name.
The man with the bald head in the tan suit is the man, the myth, the legend himself: Michael Jordan.

Another favorite celeb of hers in attendance was Fred Couples (if only Phil Mickerson had been there :)) We watched the masters a few weeks ago and she liked to tell us who was whom.

I definitely should have let her go to the game with her Dad.

My Lily Bug

Somedays I just think that Lily Kate is too cute for words and today was one of them.

I loved her outfit today and she even let me put in a ponytail since we had a matching "lady bug bow" for her hair.
Tonight she decided it was time for Lily Kate's Food Revolution. She ate quite a helping of salad (with Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing of course) and proceeded to feed it to Reese as well.

Last weekend Stephen, his dad and his grandfather had the opportunity to participate in a golf tournament that raised funds for missions in Honduras.
We stayed home to hang out with Grandma, Rachie & Unca!
Using sidewalk chalk with JaJa and Rachie!
Jonathan (Unca) is a huge soccer fan, so we attended the Charleston Battery v Charlotte Eagles soccer game on Saturday night. It was a beautiful evening and the Battery won!

Stop and Smell the Roses- or tulips

We went to Blakeney on Saturday afternoon to run some errands. Lily Kate had to smell all the flowers :) It is fun to see the world through her eyes.
My two little bugs (with the assistance of some crayons).

Spring Break

Stephen has the week off, so we have been trying to take advantage of every minute. We have slept in, eaten out (way too much) and just enjoyed being a family.
"Lily Kate's House"
We are going to have to replace the batteries on the doorbell. :)

Yesterday we went to Carowinds -it was Lily Kate's first time at an amusement park. I think we enjoyed watching her almost as much as she enjoyed it! It was a great day to be there- even though it rained a little bit.
Her first ride...she stayed safely tucked under Daddy's arm.
She wasn't 100% sure she liked this one :)
She concentrated really hard on driving the car.
Her favorite part was meeting all the characters.
Linus was her favorite!

Hiyo Rufus

The Charlotte Bobcats are having a great season- they just made the playoffs. We were able to attend two games this past week. Stephen and his Dad attended the game on Friday night so we all rode Uptown to hang out at the Epicenter and get some dinner.

We all attended the game on Tuesday night. Lily Kate really wanted to meet the mascot, Rufus. She wanted Rufus "to hold Lily Kate." We weren't able to make that happen ;) but she loved every time he was out on the court.
Riding the "Choo Choo Train" uptown.
Loving every lick of ketchup at Five Guys.

Rufus now calls Lily Kate on her pretend phones. She answers saying "Hiyo Rufus" and then carries on an entire conversation with him.

Helper Girl

Since I'm going to be a big sister soon I decided it is time to help Mommy around the house. I love to help throw things away, get my own tissues (or the entire contents of the box), help mommy cook and I'm now potty trained (I've been accident free for 10 days!).
-Lily Kate
Showing Reese how to use his crate. I pretended I was a dog and Mommy got me a treat (cookie).

I'm environmentally conscious- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
Making banana muffins. I loved cooking, but my favorite part was eating them!
