Golden Weekend

This was Stephen's first and only entire weekend off this month. We tried to make the most of every minute.

Friday night I went to an amazing consignment sale. This was only the second sale I have ever attended and it was a little overwhelming.

My best buys

Saturday we spent some family time in Gastonia. It was great getting to hang out with Rachel and Jonathan.

Today's weather was absolutely gorgeous. We spent the afternoon at the Festival in the Park in Freedom Park (along with half of Charlotte). We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant way to end the weekend.

Doggone sick

Our least blogged about family member is Reese. Since we have been a little under the weather this week, we have all been watching entirely too much television. This proves it:

Well-read

Quite the little traveller, this is Lily Kate's favorite book to read to herself while we travel around town. She points out the animals and tells us the sounds that they make.

My Fair Lady

We went to the Cabarrus County Fair last night with Sam and Lindsay (Stephen's co-worker and his wife). We could smell the fried food as we drove into the parking lot...the corn dogs we ate for dinner were amazing, however I feel like I can't eat any more fried foods for at least a week.

We walked through the exhibit halls, visited the petting zoo and then spent the majority of the night walking up and down the midway trying to find the perfect carnival game. Stephen really wanted to win his daughter a prize. He won her a large purple monkey. I love fairs.

Bibs Are Not Just for Babies

I got into my dresser today and pulled out all my bibs. Then I asked Mom to put them on me. I wore six all at once...I'm starting a new fashion trend.

Not Your Typical Story Time

We went to the library this morning like we usually do on Wednesdays. After story time, I was picking out some books for us to check out and Lily Kate was playing when she started to cry. I looked down and she had her head stuck in this foot stool. What made her think that was a good idea, I have no clue, but I quickly unwedged her head and she was fine. The fun never ends.

She sat here and read Maybe My Baby to herself. SO SWEET! I wish I had the video camera.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Every morning I entertain myself by getting into everything in Mommy and Daddy's room. Today I found some pretty necklaces and I insisted on wearing all three at once. I wanted to look my best for Daddy's birthday! Happy Birthday, Daddy! Since he has to work today, we celebrated yesterday. I really enjoyed helping him unwrap his gifts and his birthday banana pudding was yummy!

A Walk in the Park

Saturday morning we met some friends at Pineville Lake Park to play and hang out. It was another beautiful day, though a little hotter than the rest of the week had been. Kathryn and I had fun riding together in the car.

This is a great park and it is located just minutes from our house.

Bye Bye Ball

Lily Kate and her dad were playing with this football "tossing" it back and forth. A few minutes later she decided to take a bite out of it. She was heartbroken that her ball was broken.

All Dressed Up and No Where to Go

These boots were Stephen's when he was little. It is so cute to see Lily Kate clunking around the house in them.

This was her nap outfit on Sunday- bloomers and a t-shirt. I told her to pose and this is what I got. Watch out America's Next Top Model :)
