Table of Contents
Today we bought a table for our kitchen nook. I have been looking for the right sized table for this space since we moved in a year ago. I'm so excited to finally have one! Thank you, Craigslist.

Summer Nights
This weekend we spent lots of time with family and as a family. Saturday night we attended a Charlotte Knights baseball game with Stephen's parents, sister and brother-in-law. The game didn't start until 7:15pm (15min prior to Lily Kate's usual bedtime) and it was a hot day. I was really nervous about how she would do. Let me just tell you Lily Kate loved it! The mascot, Homer was probably her favorite part - except when he got up close. She liked Homer from a distance. She would see him out in the upper deck and wave to him.
She got her second wind at 8:30 and was jumping in our laps and cheering with the inebriated fan sitting next to us. The Knights won and there were fireworks afterwards. I love a good firework show. It was a great night.

Friday Night Fun
Friday night we met Stephen at a Zen Asian Bistro (right near the hospital) then we met Shivani and Paras for a walk at Freedom Park. Lily Kate loved the restaurant. She almost ate more than I did :) She loves Asian food and chowed down on the crab roll appetizer, hibachi chicken (with white sauce) and fruit on a chopstick (courteousy of her daddy :)) She was asking for more as soon as she got a piece in her mouth.

Out and About
We had a fun-filled week this week. We hosted two playdates, went to Space Kidets (a bounce house in Matthews) and the Harris Y pool.I think the girls need to be a bit older to really enjoy Space Kidets. Here they are in one of the bounce houses. (Kathryn and Lily Kate)
Lily Kate preferred to hang out by the pool instead of in it. The Sprayground is impressive!

Jenna always brings the best snacks (even if Mommy has the same stuff)...here are all the girls gathered around for some watermelon! (Mia, Lily Kate sitting on Jenna, Kathryn)

Family Reunion
While in Greenville, we made so many wonderful friends...they really became our family. Today we had the opportunity to visit with two families who fit that description to a "T"- the Bells and the Kikers- both of whom just welcomed new babies in April! It was our first time meeting Cora Bell, and Noah Kiker has grown so much in the 2.5 months since we last saw him. It was such a fun day! The kids were never all awake and/or smiling at the same time...so here are a few pics we were able to catch.
Noah and Lily Kate...his onesie says Prince Charming!
Cora in her Dunder Mifflin Onesie :)
The dads enjoyed playing around with our new photo software...YIKES!

Jinx
I should have never posted about not getting sick...literally 6 hours after I hit the PUBLISH POST button, I was as sick as a dog. I was well enough the next morning to put on Noggin for Lily Kate...she was so sweet as we had a pajama party until her grandparents came over to rescue her! THANKS SO MUCH!
I know...No TV until they are 2...but some days you just do what you have to in order to get by.
Thankfully it was just a 24 hour bug and I am feeling much better now!

Sand Between Your Toes
Can I just say, I love the beach. There is just something about the sound of the crashing waves that is so relaxing. I look forward to the Renfrow week at the beach every summer. We had an uninvited guest this week -a stomach bug! It lasted for about 24 hours an it spread like wildfire. Both Stephen and Lily Kate were "infected." I am still waiting for my turn. Hopefully it won't come.
Despite the illness we were still able to have lots of fun. Lily Kate wasn't so sure about the waves, but she loved the sand.
Lily Kate loved all her cousins. Here she is with Ella Wallace (L) and Kyelie (R).
She was also surprisingly entertained by a water bottle for almost an hour one day. It is the simple things in life.

Where a Kid Can Be a Kid
We took Lily Kate to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time. She enjoyed herself, but I think she had a little sensory overload. She loved the toddler area and rode in a car with Stuart Little. She didn't understand a lot of the games, but loved watching daddy play skeeball. She ate a whole piece of pizza while totally enthralled by the character show.
