Future Firefighter
Three years ago, I had no idea which restaurants offered "Kids Eat Free" nights. My how things have changed! I now frequent a website which states which restaurants offer free kids meals on which nights.

Grasshopper Farm Closing!
Since her 15 month check-up, Lily Kate's job has been to eat. Since she is a petite little thing, I have been offering her meals or snacks every 2 hours. She has stepped up to the challenge.
Last night we went (for the last time) to Billy Jean's Grasshopper Farm. Billy Jean's is one of my favorite restaurants in Gastonia and they announced this week that they are closing due to the economic downturn :(. Their Armadillo Rolls (a mexican eggroll) will be greatly missed! We tried to order them last night...and they ran out 10 minutes before we ordered. Terrible News!
Lily Kate loved the corn dog we ordered for her. She especially loved feeding it to herself.

A New Car
I have always loved a bargain, however since becoming a mom, I have become a huge fan of consignment sales. You just can't beat the deals you can get on gently used toys! Lily Kate's JaJa found this new "Ca" at a yardsale. Hands down one of the best purchases of the year.

Growing up right before our eyes
I can't believe how much personality our little one is getting each and every day. Today she carried a plastic ice cream cone with her everywhere we went...Lowes, Playgroup, all over the house. Each day is something new and exciting. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
She had already finished her dinner, but wanted to sit at the table with Mom and Dad while they ate.
In her new swim suit. She had to have a tankini for the beach.
Playing is hard work. She had to rest her a minute while she played.
Those ruffles are too adorable!

A Day in My Shoes
Like a typical girl, Lily Kate loves her shoes or, as she refers to them, her "shes." She even likes to try on other peoples shoes. If she is fussy in a store, we go try on shoes. Her only complaint is that I don't buy them all for her :)

Every meal before I get to eat, Mommy says a short prayer. Tonight I decided to help her with the prayer. I said "amen" three times after she was done.
